Director's Message, by Jennifer Gehrt
Now that the Financial Information System is live we are in a new phase where the focus is on meeting our implementation goals for the student system ( iSIS). The Cashier’s Office staff members have begun learning the Student Finance module that will replace the legacy Billing Receivable System (BRS), while the colleges participating in the pilot study, Business Administration and Engineering, have become engaged in learning iSIS and what they will need to know to set up course requirements such as pre-requisites. The remaining colleges will become involved in early October to begin this learning and advisory process.

The Admissions team is working to complete their unit testing and to determine business process changes as we move towards the Admissions module go-live date in June 2006. All team members continue to test various functionality and to design conversion, reports, and other programs. The entire team is awaiting the next release of the Oracle Student Solution due out at the end of 2005. This release will be the software version that we put into production. Much development and testing effort will still need to be accomplished once that new release is applied to our environment.
